Who started John Altman?
Julie and Marie Claire are two sisters from Amsterdam. Their mission: to make the whole of the Netherlands happy with John Altman's sustainable snacks.

In 2015 they decided to chase their dream. Together they saw the potential of a loving, sustainable brand with a nod to the serious world around us. With the John Altman brand, the sisters want to market good, but above all delicious snacks. Snacks like popcorn and nuts, without artificial additives, but surprising and varied in composition.

Julie (32) has over 4 years experience in various roles in online marketing and growth hacking. She knows exactly which channels to use and how to approach consumers online. Julie always talks about food; about special recipes, concepts from abroad, restaurants, or that typical greengrocer on the corner.

Marie Claire (42) worked for 6 years at Unilever and 5 years at NS Stations Retail in various marketing, category management and concept development positions. She has seen many brands and products succeed and fail. After more than 10 years of work experience, she saw room in the market for snacks that are better, tastier and more sustainable.
