John Altman sluit aan bij 1% for the Planet

At John Altman we believe that great taste and doing good go hand in hand. That is why we are proud to share that as of this year we are officially a member of 1% for the Planet. As a member we donate 1% of our annual turnover to recognized charities that are committed to making the world a better place – for people and planet alike.

1% for the Planet is a global network of businesses, individuals and non-profits that together are committed to the environment. The initiative was founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard (founder of Patagonia) and Craig Mathews. All members pledge to donate 1% of their annual turnover to certified environmental organizations. There are now more than 5,000 members worldwide, who together contribute millions to the protection of nature, climate and biodiversity.

Through 1% for the Planet we at John Altman support initiatives such as Trees for All, which plants trees worldwide and is committed to reforestation, CO₂ compensation and biodiversity. We also contribute to Zelfzorg aan Zee (Self-Care by the Sea), a special foundation that offers recovery programs for people with mental health issues, in an environment where nature and tranquility are central.

We deliberately choose organizations that not only make an impact, but also closely align with our core values. By choosing our snacks whether that is popcorn, nuts or lentil chips you automatically contribute to these wonderful projects. Small choices can together make a big difference.
